My name is Amber, the founder of better.Ber and Co. When I'm not busy running my business, helping you with yours, or wrangling my toddler, you can usually find me romping in the woods with my pup, cooking something yummy at home, snuggled on the couch with a good movie, or looking for treasures in a thrift store.

I started this company to create a better life for myself while doing something I am passionate about- helping others achieve their dreams, growing businesses, and being creative. I am here to not only help your business succeed, but also make sure you are the best version of yourself. Let's start being better, together.
My Story
I am originally from Brevard, NC and moved to the "big city" of Asheville, NC when I was 22. My college degree was in hospitality management so moving to a bustling, up-and-coming tourist destination was a no brainer. (Fun fact; my first few months working at the Hotel Indigo was spent assisting the main cast of the Hunger Games movies. Talk about a surreal experience for my first big job out of college) After 6 years in the hotel industry, I decided to branch out. Over the next decade or so, I worked my way across the city learning from some of the best in their fields. I've dabbled in just about everything from being a barista and slinging pastries, bartending craft cocktails, and event planning to rubbing pork butts, hand-tossing pizzas, management and even opening a brand new restaurant right before Covid changed everything. My resume is a varied one which just means I have a lot of experience and perspectives to bring to whatever next project I work on.

My son made his way into this world in October 2022 and I knew I didn't want to go back to the service industry life after having him. No lie, the first 15 months of his life were very difficult for us. Between health issues, postpartum depression, financial instability, and living in an unsupportive environment...sometimes I felt like I was simply surviving through the day. After becoming a single mom in January 2024, I knew that I wanted more for myself and for my son. I wanted us to do more than just survive. I wanted us to be absolutely thriving.

I dedicated my 2024 to becoming better. I rebuilt friendships, started therapy, went back to school, learned new recipes, played outside, and created art again for the first time in years. Over the course of the year, I achieved 5 different certifications: Email Marketing, Digital Marketing, Social Media Management, Google Ads Management, and Google Analytics. When I decided to finally build a business for myself, I knew I wanted to do something where I got to be creative, think strategically, build relationships with others, and help others succeed all while using my lifetime of experience and all my newfound skills. Thus, better.Ber and Co. was born.
My company is designed to help other small business owners with their online presence whether that be through your social media management, upgrading your brand identity, doing an audit of your website or socials, or doing a photoshoot showcasing you and your products. I offer a wide range of services that can be tailored to suit your needs while we achieve those big business goals of yours.
